weaire-phelan ringThe Weaire-Phelan structure is “is a complex 3-dimensional structure representing an idealised foam of equal-sized bubbles.” Maybe you recognize it from the outside of the Beijing National Aquatics Center/Water Cube from the 2008 Summer Olympics. It is some complex math that we wrangled to make into a ring for one of our more geometrically interested clients. While it was a challenge to get all of the math right, the end product was well worth the trouble!

It only goes to illustrate that almost any idea or interest can be interpreted into a meaningful piece of jewelry. What interest do you want us to interpret into jewelry?
